Dry containers are by far the most common type of container and while many different sizes exist, 20ft and 40ft containers are widely accepted and suitable for the carriage of most types of Dry goods. These containers are weatherproof, with fixed dimensions that make them suitable for cargo packed in boxes, cartons, cases, bags, bales, pallets, drums etc. In some cases, and with adequate loading/unloading equipment, this type of container may also be used for certain types of bulk cargo.
